Introduction

Nächste Woche werde ich mein Praktikum im Reisebüro "Pauli voyages" in Dombasle machen. Es befindet sich 49 avenue de Rosières. Ich habe dieses Praktikum gewählt,weil mich fremde Länder faszinieren und weil ich später um die Welt reisen möchte.Vielleicht werde ich dadurch besser in Erdkunde... :)

Ich bin gespannt,was mich da erwartet...

Last day...

Today was the last day of my company internship. As every day,  I started working at half past eight.The first thing I did (after saying goodmorning) was to make some coffee for Isabelle (Number 2), Anne-Marie and for Vincent because Isabelle (Number 1) wasn't here in the morning. Then I did as every day: I clasified contracts, I franked the mail and finally, I put certificates of payments in letters and so I had to frank them. Customers wanted to go to New York ( The USA are the most wanted destination of the moment) so Anne-Marie said that N.Y. has an other name: The big apple. Then I did the same as in the morning.

In the afternoon, Isabelle (Number 1) was back. There is not a lot to make in the agency, so I made the same as in the morning. I also had to remove the holiday vouchers of the package. Then Anne-Marie gave me a surprise: a map of the European Union that I had to complete. Isabelle (Number 1) helped me a little because I didn't remember the name of some capitals. At the end, I had a good score! :)

It was a little bit sad to leave them and it will be weird to return to the middle school on monday...
I liked this company internship very much!


TO SUMMARIZE:
For this job, you have to be very patient and nice with the customers!
You must have a good memory and you have to know your geography.
You also have to be organized.

Tag 4

Heute war das vorletzte Tag, andem ich "gearbeitet" habe. Weil sie nichts zu tun hatte (es kommt nicht oft vor...), hat mir Isabelle (Nr.1) gezeigt, wie man Verträge mit dem Computer ausfüllt. Danach habe ich die gleichen Papiere wie gestern ausgeschnitten. Dann habe ich Rechnungen von Kunden in Umschläge getan und danach habe ich die Post abgestempelt. Zuletzt habe ich Kataloge eingeräumt.

Es klingt so, als hätte ich nichts gemacht, aber es war viel zu tun (ich habe mehrmals das gleiche getan ^^)

Am Nachmittag war Isabelle (Nr. 2) nicht da, also konnte ich wieder ihren Schreibtisch benutzen. Am Morgen hatte sie gesagt, dass sie ihren Computerbildschirm  nicht mehr mochte (es war Georges Clooney), also haben sich Anne-Marie und Isabelle (Nr. 2) amusiert und haben ihren Hintergrund gewechselt : sie haben stattdessen François Valéry genommen ^^
Wie haben viel gelacht (sind aber immer wieder ernst geworden :D).

Danach habe ich die Ferienschecks vom Paket losgebunden und sie gezählt um zu sehen, wie hoch die Ermäβigung war.
Ich habe am Ende Leute empfangen.


Die Zeit ist wie im Flug vergangen :)

Day 3

Today was a good day. It was funny as everyday. To enter the agency, I used the back door reserved to the VIP's :) In the morning, I began with correcting catalogs. Then, as every day, I had to frank the mail with this machine:

 I also had to clasify many contract (as every day too)

The phone was often ringing and when it wasn't, customers were there so I was not able to speak with the Isabelles, Anne-Marie or with Vincent.

In the afternoon, I did the same as in the morning. Customers were coming too. At half past two, the son of the manager came to see if everything is allright. When he left the agency, three policemen entered. One of them wanted to have a travel in Djerba for his wife. After that, customers wanted to go to the North Cap so Anne-Marie showed me, where it is (I learnt something in geography!!! ;)) At the end, I had to cut papers where it was written "veuillez signer en bas à droite" on them. Finally, it was already finished!...

What will happen tomorrow?? Good question...

Tag 2

Heute war das zweite Mal, dass ich "gearbeitet" habe. Isabelle (die zweite) war wieder da, also konnte ich ihren Schreibtisch nicht benutzen. Stattdessen, habe ich mich neben Anne-Marie gesetzt. Zwischen zwei Telefonanrufen hat sie mir erklärt, wie man die Anfangs- und Ankunftszeitpläne der Flugzeuge und die Terminale und Türen mit Kodes erkennen kann. Als sie fertig war mit der Erklärung, musste sie wieder ans Telefon . Weil ich nichts besonderes machte, hat Isabelle (Nr.1) mir erklärt, wie die Kaffeemaschine funktioniert. Sie hat gesagt, dass ich jetzt jeden Morgen Kaffee machen kann :) Danach habe ich gelernt, wie man die Post abstempelt. Also habe ich es fast eine Stunde geübt(am Anfang konnte ich es nicht gut aber mit ein bischen Übung, bin ich fast ein Profi geworden ;)) Zuletzt hat mir Vincent mehrere Menüs gegeben und ich musste sie vom deutschen ins französische übersetzen. Es war ein bischen schwierig, aber es ging noch ganz gut :D Um dies zu machen, war ich an Gilles Schreibtisch (er ist diese Woche nicht da, weil er krank ist)

Als ich mit dem Übersetzen fertig war, habe ich einen Text auf deutsch geschrieben, den ich an ein Hotel per Fax schicken musste.



Am Nachmittag habe ich Verträge und neue Kataloge eingeordnet. Ich habe wieder Post gestempelt und am Ende habe ich Fehler in Katalogen korrigiert. Es war sehr interessant, weil ich entdeckt habe, dass viele Fehler sich verstecken und, weil ich Länder auf Fotos gesehen habe, die mich träumen lassen :)

Day 1

For my first day in the travel agency, I started working at half past one in the afternoon because it wasn't open in the morning. I was with Anne-Marie, Isabelle and Vincent. I was sitting at Isabelle's desk because she wasn't here today (they are two Isabelle in this travel agency). They all are very nice. I've learnt that the agency "Pauli" was aquired by the agency "national tours" so now her name is "National tours Pauli". I made photocopies and I also welcomed people (most of the time, they were old). Anne-Marie explained me that many people are phoning at the agency on monday afternoon because they think there's a problem with their invoice.You also have to be very patient because the phone is always ringing!! I had to classify files too. For this job, you have to be very organized and you have to watch the news very often! For example, they have to know what happens in Tunisia to know if the must cancel the travel. At the moment, they haven't done it but a lot of people have cancelled it because they're scared of what it happenes in this Country. When they made a contract, I had to photocopy it and then, I had to clasify it. Sometimes, customers were phoning because they wanted to have catalogs of the agency and of her journeys so I had to write the adresses and to put the catalogs in the envelopes.
It was funny and I'm impatient to see what will happen tomorrow.
